EquipHotel 2018: Insights, trends and innovations

EquipHotel 2018 was a success! The premier trade show for hospitality and catering took place in Paris 15-18th November 2018, and included our very own Craster team. It was a great opportunity for us to meet market professionals and discover the latest industry trends and solutions.

Spanning 5 days, EquipHotel is a key European trade show, acting as source of inspiration and a driving force of innovation.

Here at Craster, we took this opportunity to unveil brand new contemporary solutions for food service and presentation. As innovative thinkers, our designers introduced several unique pieces, including Alto – our brand-new buffet display range, and exceptional additions to our classic Flow range and flexible Tilt buffet system.

Having been inspired by the plethora of new design on show at the event, we’re sharing with you our highlights, and giving insight into how Craster consistently strives to be at the forefront of hospitality innovation.

Design-centred concepts

Increasingly, luxury hotels and restaurants want to move forward and become more design oriented – a fact reflected across the event. And that’s great news for us: we help design 5* guest experiences.

The trick is for products to determine the atmosphere in a room without dominating. This is the result of a balance between graphics, shapes and passion for craft. Concept, material, structure and innovation are brought together to achieve surprising, unique, and new designs.

Ceramic trends

Ceramic with interesting glazes are in high demand today. The feature pieces, be them simplistically elegant or intriguingly complex, perfectly integrate in many interiors due to the versatility in their shapes, look and finish. The elegance of our Tilt bowls which come in a range of sizes and colours speaks volumes in terms of refinement, and is a tribute to this rising trend.

In terms of the quality, ceramic is durable enough for everyday use. It is a perfect solution to display both wet and dry foods in the most attractive way, whether for casual lunches or sophisticated dinner parties.

Back to nature

We have our fingers on the pulse regarding raw and honest look products – a trend evident at this year’s event.

The name Craster is associated with beautiful durable products, made from natural materials that last the natural life of the materials themselves, including timbers sourced from sustainable forests. Our contagious creativity already led to varied collections. Craster wooden products work with intelligent logic around materials, aesthetics and functionality working in synergy.
